WHAT IS POLYMER CLAY?

Polymer Clay is one type of clay. It is man made from a plastic . It is not natural.

So, It is known for its versatility, pliability and simplicity to work.

Polymer clay is based on the polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

Polymer clay is generally used for making arts and craft items, and is also used in commercial applications to make decorative parts.

It stays continually soft and can be baked in a home oven, retaining its color and size And It is available in many colors.

It can be used to imitate many materials like stone, porcelain, wood, and glass.

You can make jewellery , sculpture , keychains, dolls, wall hanging or many more things of your choice.

How to make polymer clay at home? 

Yes,we can make polymer clay at home.

1. Glue

2. Cornstarch

3. Mineral oil

4. Lemon juice

5. Food colour (if require)

6. Resealable freezer bag

Steps :

1: Pour ¾ cup of glue and 1 cup cornstarch into the non-stick pot.
2: Add 2 tablespoons of mineral oil and 1 tablespoon  of lemon juice to the glue and cornstarch mixture.
3: Transfer the pot to the stove.
4: Continue stirring the mixture until it mix up well.
5: Add a small squirt of mineral oil on mixture.
6: Transfer the clay to clean platform to work and knead.
7: Work on the dough until it's  gets smooth.
8: Store the clay in a resealable freezer bag that can be kept in the refrigerator.

How to use polymer clay at home?

Here are some steps for make things from polymer clay

Steps :

1 : loosen of the polymer clay
2: give the shape to clay as per your requirement
3: baking in oven as per thickness and size and colour.  (recommended temperature for your specific brand of polymer clay on the packet.)
4 : Allow sculpted items to cool completely.

Note : PVA wood glue works best for this recipe

Note : if you want to give colour to Clay then you can add  food colour in it
